The Ayurvedic Active Cleanse · Rawai, Phuket
The Ayurvedic Active Cleanse. Cleanse your body and keep training.
The Ayurvedic Active Cleanse is the signature detox programme at Phuket Cleanse, a wellness, fitness and detox retreat in Rawai, Phuket, Thailand.

When we opened in December 2011, most detox centres in Thailand offered water fasting. Our guests came to move, so we created something different: the active cleanse. Enough nutrition to train, hike and swim, while still giving the body a real break.

We open in Rawai and create the active cleanse: nourishment to move, not water fasting.
Over the years, we have studied and tested many research-based and medical cleanses. Many were effective, but strong, bitter herbs and intense protocols made them hard for guests to enjoy, and harder to complete.
After months of pilot testing, we launch the Ayurvedic Active Cleanse. The one guests enjoy most, with outstanding feedback on energy and digestion.
Most cleanses do one thing. Ours brings together four.

Stacking these together is what makes the Active Cleanse different. Exercise and recovery are always optional and should suit your health and energy on the day.

Your cleanse begins with Jihva Pariksha, the traditional Ayurvedic tongue analysis. It looks at four things to understand your digestion (Agni) in Ayurvedic terms.
Tongue analysis is a traditional wellness practice, not a medical diagnostic test. It does not diagnose conditions or measure toxins.
Thai traditional medicine is rooted in centuries-old healing traditions shaped by both Indian Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. Our chefs have worked with these ingredients for years.
Mainly fresh Thai herbs
Alongside Indian Ayurvedic spices
