As a meditation teacher, the first lesson I teach meditation students is never to immediately refrain talking like this. You are a born mediator. You sleep every night so this means you are able to engage in every level of meditation nightly.
The negative self talk about not being able to focus is the problem. So, stop that now and your meditation practice can begin.
